Make History At The Royal Albert Hall...

NYCGB have partnered with the Stay at Home Choir, run by alumni Tori Longdon and Jamie Wright, to create a digital mega-choir for the big screen at the Royal Albert Hall

Key Dates

Please note due to the turnaround of the digital assets we will not be able to extend the recording deadline.

  • Wednesday 15th February - Resources Released

  • Wednesday 1st March window for digital (audio and video) submissions OPEN

  • Wednesday 8th March (midnight) window for digital (audio and video) submissions CLOSE

What's Involved?

  • NYCGB40 New Commission

One Long Song is a forty voice part new nine-minute work by Ben Parry with text by Anoushka Lucas (writer, singer, actress and currently starring in Oklahoma! on the West End). Every area of the organisation is involved in this piece. There are six specific vocal lines for NYCGB Alumni (Soprano 1, Soprano 2, Alto 1, Alto 2, Tenor and Bass).

  • Your Role

This will be the finale of the entire evening and world premiere. For those unable to attend in person at the Royal Albert Hall, there is now the opportunity to submit digitally (audio and video) and still become part of the performance on the night! Your voice will be a crucial part of the performance and your video will be projected onto the large screen above the stage along with your NYCGB alumni colleagues.

  • Further Information

Getting involved with 'One Long Song' is completely free!

Alumni who are planning to attend live are also welcome to send a digital submission.

These resources can also be used as learning aids in preparation for your live performance.

We look forward to singing with you!
