Welcome to Stay At Home Choir’s newest musical journey; The Madrigal Project with The Sixteen!

Have you ever heard of Maddalena Casulana?

No? We hadn’t either.

Maddalena Casulana (c. 1544 – c. 1590)

was an Italian composer, lutenist and singer of the late Renaissance. She is the first female composer to have had a whole book of her music printed and published in the history of western music.

The Sixteen Choral Pilgrimage

This project is designed to accompany the Sixteen’s annual choral pilgrimage, and next CD, which will feature Casulana’s madrigal.
